Classes at Hogsmill Dog Club

Classes are held on Monday evenings, normally in six week courses.

There is an absolute maximum of six dogs in each class to
ensure that everyone gets individual attention.

The hall floor is fully covered in non-slip matting for safety.

In response to demand, we offer a changing menu of topics,
from the ever popular Puppy and Good Citizen classes to
Introduction to Agility and Introduction to Competitive Obedience.

We are one of the first clubs in the area to offer classes in Rally,
the new dog sport which is proving so popular in the USA.

The Puppy class is there to take full advantage of the dog’s
window of opportunity for early learning, which closes all too soon.

It is for dogs that have completed their vaccinations and are
aged not more than 20 weeks at the start of the course.

We can’t promise a fully trained dog after six weeks, of course,
but we will show you how to get more of the behaviour you
want from your dog and much less of the behaviour that you don’t.

Toilet training, socialisation and basic obedience are also covered,
alongside any issues relevant to individual dogs on the course.

Descriptions and photos can only tell you so much!

You are encouraged to come and watch a class with no
obligation before deciding whether you would like to enrol.

Please contact Club secretary Jean Ennis for details
of what classes we are running at any time.

Instructors give their time free of charge and
receive no fee for instructing classes.
